COVA Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated business in Ocean View, Virginia.

Coffee + Beer

Our doors opened in July of 2020, and since then, “Something’s Always Brewing”. From our craft coffee house or craft brewery, there’s something for everyone in our modern one-of-a-kind space.

Crafted by two families, The Bateman's and The Smith's, each bringing their own flair to the business.

A Shared Vision

Locals, Scott & Susan Bateman, grew up in Ocean View. As active members in philanthropic organizations throughout East Beach, it was only natural for them to create COVA, a community space for guests to gather over craft ‘brews’.

Phil & Karla Smith found their home in Ocean View after moving from the midwest. As healthcare professionals, taking care of guests is ingrained in their business practices. With a familial background in craft beer coupled with a passion for delicious coffee, Phil & Karla have helped make COVA’s beverage offerings one-of-a-kind.

COVA Crew

Like any good family business, it’s about the team members who make up the fabulous #COVACrew. Our trained staff are both barista and bartender, ensuring that your COVA experience is one to remember.
